Wild Elephant Herd Wreaks Havoc in Latehar Villages, Destroys Homes and Crops
Villagers in Latehar are living in fear after a herd of wild elephants destroyed several houses and damaged standing crops.

A herd of wild elephants entered the Mahuadanr police station area of Latehar district late last night, causing widespread destruction. The tuskers demolished four mud houses and completely destroyed acres of standing agricultural crops. Forest department officials have reached the affected villages and are currently attempting to drive the herd back into the deep forests.
