Good news for the citizens of Ranchi – The proposal for setting up a new metro line under the Smart City Project has been formally accepted. The project aims to solve the traffic and pollution problems arising from the rapid urbanization of the city. Under the project, it is proposed to connect Ranchi with a 15 km long metro line, in which five major stations are planned. Planners believe the line will be ready for implementation in the first quarter of 2027.
The initiative will boost regional economic growth, ensure investment in RAW housing developments and create thousands of job opportunities. Local officials say that the proposed metro project will improve the mobility of the city by 40 percent.
