The administration became active after the situation of three orphan children of Akauni village of Palamu came to light. After the Chief Minister took cognizance, the district administration met the children and took the initiative to connect them with government schemes.
According to reports, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the condition of the children and also asked them to contact them directly if needed. In such cases, quick response of the administration becomes a big support for the weaker sections.
Social workers say that it is necessary to identify such children in the district and connect them with schemes related to education, nutrition, housing and security.
