In the last years, there were difficulties in bringing the education sector up to the expected standards in many authorized areas of Jharkhand. Today the government has announced a comprehensive scheme that aims to give a facelift to primary, secondary and higher education institutions across the state.
Key points of the policy
Facility makeover: New sports facilities, clean toilets and better water management will be ensured on the premises of all schools. Development targets have been set at the same level in rural areas too.
Inclusion of Technology
There is a plan to equip each classroom with DAB quality tablets and 3‑D projectors, so that students can experience interactive learning. Additionally, the ‘Internet+School’ initiative will create permanent internet connections in classrooms.
Teacher Training and Motivation
12-hour online courses and annual workshops will be conducted for teachers, covering modern teaching methods, use of digital tools, and in-depth guidance on student mental health. Additionally, outstanding performing teachers will receive annual scholarships and awards.
